What We Do

Myanmar Relief supports vulnerable people from Myanmar, including displaced families, refugees, migrants, children, elderly people, people with disabilities, and communities affected by poverty, conflict, natural disasters, and hardship.

Our work focuses on practical humanitarian support through trusted local organizations already serving people in need. We believe small, responsible support can create real impact when it reaches the right people through the right partners.

Many families from Myanmar face serious challenges because of conflict, poverty, instability, displacement, or emergencies. Children need education. Families need emergency help. Elderly people and people with disabilities need health support. Young adults need skills to build a better future. Communities affected by natural disasters may need urgent food, shelter, medicine, and basic supplies.

Myanmar Relief does not aim to manage every project directly from the United States. Instead, we raise support and provide small grants or project-based assistance to trusted local partners who understand the needs on the ground.

Education Support

Education gives children hope, structure, and opportunity. Many children from Myanmar need basic school supplies, learning materials, safe classrooms, and support to continue their education during difficult times.

Myanmar Relief aims to support education programs through community schools, migrant learning centers, local education groups, and trusted organizations that serve Myanmar children.

Education support may include school supplies, notebooks, pens, pencils, school bags, learning materials, uniform support, classroom supplies, English learning materials, computer learning support, and youth education programs.

Many children already face fear, uncertainty, and instability. Education helps them feel normal again. A notebook, a school bag, or a safe learning space may seem small, but for a child who has lost stability, it can mean hope.

Our goal is to help children continue learning, even during crisis and hardship.

Emergency Family Aid

Some families face urgent needs. They may need food, hygiene items, clothing, blankets, temporary support, funeral assistance, or emergency transport. These needs can happen suddenly, especially when families lose income, move from unsafe areas, face medical problems, or are affected by natural disasters.

Myanmar Relief plans to support emergency family aid through trusted local organizations that can identify real needs and respond safely.

Emergency family aid may include food support, rice and basic groceries, hygiene kits, soap, toothpaste, sanitary items, clothing, blankets, baby supplies, emergency transport, funeral assistance, and temporary household support.

We want emergency aid to protect dignity. Families should not feel forgotten when they face hardship. With responsible support, local partners can help families survive difficult moments and move toward stability.

Basic Health Support

Health care can be difficult for vulnerable families, displaced people, migrants, refugees, elderly people, and people living in unstable conditions. Some people cannot afford transport to clinics. Others need help with basic medical needs, follow-up care, medicine, or referrals.

Myanmar Relief aims to support basic health-related assistance through clinics, community health workers, local volunteers, and trusted humanitarian partners.

Basic health support may include medical transport assistance, basic health referrals, support for community health programs, hygiene and prevention supplies, help for elderly patients, and support for vulnerable families with medical needs.

We do not plan to operate a clinic ourselves. Instead, we want to help trusted health partners reach more people and respond to practical needs.

Good health support can reduce suffering, protect families, and help people return to daily life with dignity.

Wheelchair and Mobility Support

Myanmar Relief has a special interest in helping people with disabilities, elderly people, injured individuals, and people with mobility challenges. Some people need wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, or transport support but cannot afford them.

A wheelchair can change a person’s daily life. It can help someone move, attend school, visit a clinic, join family activities, or regain independence.

Wheelchair and mobility support may include wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, mobility aids, repair or replacement support, medical transport assistance, and partner-based disability support.

We plan to work with trusted local partners who can identify people with real mobility needs and help deliver support safely.

Our goal is simple: help people move with dignity and live with more independence.

Disaster Relief

Natural disasters can create urgent needs for food, clean water, shelter, medicine, clothing, and emergency supplies. Families affected by floods, storms, fires, earthquakes, or other emergencies may lose their homes, belongings, income, or access to basic services.

Myanmar Relief plans to support disaster-affected communities through trusted local partners when emergency relief is needed and funds are available.

Disaster relief may include emergency food, clean water, hygiene supplies, clothing, blankets, basic shelter support, medical support, household supplies, and transportation assistance.

Our goal is to respond responsibly through local partners who understand the situation and can deliver help safely.

Refugee and Migrant Support

Many Myanmar families live as refugees, migrants, or displaced people in border areas and nearby communities. They may face language barriers, job insecurity, limited access to education, limited healthcare, and difficulty receiving basic services.

Myanmar Relief aims to support trusted organizations that are already helping refugee and migrant families with practical needs.

Support may include education assistance, emergency family aid, health referrals, basic supplies, community support programs, and help for vulnerable children, elderly people, and people with disabilities.

Funeral Assistance

Some families face heartbreaking situations without enough resources for funeral expenses or basic final arrangements.

Myanmar Relief aims to provide compassionate funeral assistance through trusted local partners when funds are available. This support is intended to help families during painful moments with dignity, respect, and care.

Funeral assistance may include modest support for basic funeral needs, transportation, family support, or other urgent costs related to final arrangements.

Job-Readiness and Skills Support

Many young adults and displaced workers want to build a better future. They may need practical skills to find safer jobs, improve communication, or prepare for future opportunities.

Myanmar Relief aims to support job-readiness programs that help youth and adults gain useful skills.

Job-readiness support may include basic English, computer basics, Microsoft Excel training, resume preparation, interview practice, customer service skills, hospitality skills, workplace communication, and basic financial literacy.

These skills can help people gain confidence and become more self-reliant. Since many vulnerable people live with uncertainty, job-readiness training can give them practical tools for the future.

Myanmar Relief believes that support should not only meet urgent needs. It should also help people move forward.

Support for Local NGOs and Community Groups

Our main model is simple: we raise funds in the United States and provide small grants or project-based support to trusted local organizations serving Myanmar communities.

Local organizations already understand the communities they serve. They know the language, culture, safety concerns, and real needs. They often work directly with families, children, patients, schools, community leaders, refugees, migrants, and disaster-affected families.

Myanmar Relief wants to support these groups instead of replacing them.

Small grants may support local schools, migrant learning centers, community health programs, emergency aid groups, youth programs, disability support projects, disaster relief efforts, family support programs, and trusted small NGOs or community groups.

This approach helps reduce micromanagement and allows each partner to focus on what they do best.

How Small Grants Work

Myanmar Relief plans to use a clear and simple small-grant process.

First, a trusted local partner identifies a need.

Second, the partner shares a simple project request and budget.

Third, Myanmar Relief reviews the request.

Fourth, we raise or allocate funds if the project matches our mission.

Fifth, the partner carries out the project.

Sixth, we share updates with supporters when safe and appropriate.

This process helps donors understand where support goes. It also helps local partners receive help without unnecessary paperwork or control.

What We Do Not Support

Myanmar Relief focuses only on humanitarian support.

We do not support political groups, armed groups, military activities, hate speech, religious pressure or forced conversion, unsafe programs involving children, unverified individuals or unknown fund requests, or projects that put vulnerable people at risk.

Our work must remain neutral, responsible, and focused on human dignity.

Our Promise to Supporters

We want donors to feel confident when they support Myanmar Relief. Trust matters, especially when aid reaches vulnerable communities.

Our promise is to work with trusted partners, keep clear records, use funds for charitable purposes, share updates when possible, protect the privacy of vulnerable people, avoid political or armed-group involvement, and grow responsibly.

We believe transparency builds long-term trust. As Myanmar Relief grows, we plan to publish updates showing the amount raised, the type of project supported, and the impact created.

Why Your Support Matters

Many Myanmar families carry heavy burdens. Some have lost homes. Some have lost income. Some children have lost access to education. Some elderly people and people with disabilities struggle to receive care. Families affected by conflict, poverty, displacement, or natural disasters may need help, but they also need dignity, respect, and hope.

Your support can help trusted local organizations continue their work.

A small gift can help provide school supplies. A modest grant can support emergency family aid. A wheelchair can restore movement and independence. Disaster relief can help families recover after crisis. A skills program can help a young person prepare for work. A trusted partner can turn donor support into real help on the ground.

A Practical Way to Help

Myanmar Relief supports practical programs that meet real needs. We focus on education, emergency aid, basic health support, wheelchair assistance, funeral assistance, refugee and migrant support, disaster relief, job-readiness training, and small grants to trusted local organizations.

We believe this approach gives donors a responsible way to help vulnerable Myanmar families without creating unnecessary overhead or micromanagement.

Our goal is not to become the largest organization. Our goal is to become a trusted bridge between caring supporters in the United States and reliable humanitarian partners serving Myanmar communities.

Together, we can help bring hope, dignity, and practical support to Myanmar families who need it most.
